Hi! My name is Mirna Pacheco and I am a dog trainer for Dogs On The Run. I grew up in a loving home where animals were a huge part of our family. All my life, I knew that dogs were going to be part of my career. It took me a while to figure out how I could apply my skills with animals into my everyday life and make a living out of it.
That's when I decided to join up with one of San Diego's largest Pet Care companies, Dogs On The Run. I have been working as a Pet Care Professional while studying at the Animal Behavior College in Los Angeles. Working hands on with many different types of animals has been the best education. I have been able to interact with many dog breeds as well as temperaments. This has helped me unlock the dog's mind. I feel that my ability to help others with their dog training needs will be Two Paws Up!
I use a gentle, effective and positive training technique that will help guide you and your best friend through this learning process.
Early training prevents future behavior problems by appropriate handling, teaching and socialization no matter how old your dog is. Behind every well-behaved dog is a happy owner!
Dogs On The Run currently offers private customized in-home dog training. With this programs you, your family, and your pet will receive individual instruction in canine behavior and dog training techniques that are appropriate for your pet. Also offering group classes (Puppy, Beginner & Advanced) where your dog in the small groups learn basic obedience, potty training, heel, socializing, resolve aggression and fear issues, and much more.
Dog training is about you forming a solid relationship with your dog. The primary goal at Dogs On The Run is to give you and your best friend the tools to build communication, mutual respect, and trust.

"Never having gone through training with a dog before, I didn't know a lot. Mirna never made me feel inadequate or not a good master to Zyrus if I had questions or wasn't doing something right, both Zyrus and I were always completely at ease."
- David Hyman, San Diego, CA
"Small classes, Mirna took time with each dog individually to help them learn each command. Dante is a different dog since he's been in her class."
