CONCIERGE MOMENT OF THE MONTH: In-Person Consultations

At Dogs On The Run®, we believe peace of mind begins the moment a Pet Parent reaches out for care. That means more than finding the right independent Pet Care Professional. It means helping create a seamless experience from the very beginning, with clear communication, thoughtful coordination, and confidence that everything is in place.

One of the ways we are continuing to improve that experience is through quicker in-person consultations between Pet Parents and their matched Pet Care Professionals.

Meeting Sooner Means Greater Peace of Mind

Whenever possible, our independent Pet Care Professionals are now meeting with Pet Parents the same day they are matched, or at the latest, the following day.

This gives Pet Parents an opportunity to meet their Pet Care Professional, introduce them to their pets, discuss their routines and care needs, and make sure everyone is comfortable with the plan. Rather than waiting several days to connect, Pet Parents can have that important face-to-face confirmation much sooner.

For many families, that extra reassurance matters. Knowing who will be caring for your pet, having a chance to ask questions, and seeing the relationship begin in person can make a meaningful difference, especially when care is scheduled around travel, busy workdays, or other important commitments.

A More Seamless Start to Care

In the past, consultations could sometimes take a week or two to schedule. While there were often many moving pieces involved in coordinating schedules, we knew there was an opportunity to make the process more efficient.

Today, our goal is to keep that momentum moving from the moment a Pet Parent is matched.

The Concierge Team coordinates the next steps, the Pet Care Professional connects with the Pet Parent, and everyone has the opportunity to establish a clear understanding of the care plan early in the process.

It is a small change in the timeline that can create a much bigger difference in the overall experience.

Confirmation From the Start

For Pet Parents, an in-person consultation is about more than logistics. It is a chance to feel confident that the person caring for their pet understands what makes their routine unique.

During a consultation, Pet Parents can:

• Introduce their pet and share important routines and preferences

• Review care instructions and expectations

• Show their Pet Care Professional around their home

• Ask questions and address concerns

• Establish a personal connection before care begins

• Feel confident knowing the details have been discussed in person

That personal connection is an important part of our concierge approach. We want Pet Parents to feel supported throughout the process, not simply handed a name and a schedule.
