As a DOTR independent Pet Care Professional, you meet with Pet Parents, build relationships, provide exceptional care, and perform services. You can continue working with your own Pet Parents acquired prior to partnering with DOTR, while also gaining access to new referral opportunities through the DOTR community.

From Pet Parent intake and matching to scheduling, invoicing, accounting, communication, and ongoing Concierge support, our team handles much of the administrative work that can take you away from the pets and families you serve.

DOTR Pet Care Professionals are independent contractors, not employees. You operate your own business and have control over your rates, availability, service area, and which opportunities you choose to accept.

DOTR independent Pet Care Professionals are required to be 18 years old, have a business license, liability insurance, and a background check. We also require at least one year of pet care experience, two professional pet care references, and your own reliable car for daily use.

No, you set your own rates based on the services you offer, your experience, and your market.

Your income will depend on your rates, availability, location, and the amount of work you choose to accept. As an independent contractor, you have the flexibility to build your business at a pace that works for you.
