Dogs On The Run® is excited to be part of the Carlsbad Village Street Faire! We’ll be out in the community connecting with local Pet Parents, introducing them to Dogs On The Run, and sharing more about the personalized pet care services available through our community of independent Pet Care Professionals.

We’re looking for Pet Care Professionals who would like to volunteer to help staff our booth throughout the event. While you’ll be representing Dogs On The Run, this is also a great opportunity to connect with local Pet Parents, build relationships, and have conversations about your own services, experience, and areas of expertise.

Come be part of the DOTR team, meet fellow Pet Care Professionals, connect with our local community, and help introduce more Pet Parents to the care you provide.

• What should I expect during my volunteer slot?

  Volunteering at the Carlsbad Street Faire is a truly rewarding experience for DOTR independent Pet Care Professionals. You will be able to connect with new and existing Pet Parents, talk to them about yourself and your exceptional services, and tell them what makes the DOTR community so special - from expert matching, to trusted care teams.

  Be prepared to be yourself, connect with Pet Parents, and find new clients!

• When should I arrive?

  Please ensure a prompt start at your designated time. The Street Faire can be tricky to navigate, so please make sure to give yourself plenty of time to find the DOTR stall and set yourself up.

• What should I talk about when Pet Parents ask about my services and door?

  This is your opportunity to introduce yourself and let Pet Parents get to know the person behind your business. Talk about the services you offer, the types of pets you care for, your experience, and what you enjoy most about caring for animals.

  Keep the conversation natural and personal. Share what makes your approach to pet care unique and why Pet Parents enjoy working with you. The goal isn’t to give a sales pitch. It’s to make a genuine connection and leave a great first impression.

• What should I bring?

  Come prepared to represent your business within the DOTR community! We recommend bringing:

  • Business cards with your name and DOTR contact information on it

  • A friendly, approachable attitude

  • A clear understanding of the services and care you offer

  DOTR will provide the booth presence and marketing materials needed to represent us and our Concierge Services.
