The Role
We are seeking a Marketing Manager to lead the next phase of DOTR’s brand and growth - building a consistent marketing engine that drives awareness, client demand, and a strong digital presence while elevating the DOTR experience across every touchpoint.
This role is ideal for both a strategic and creative marketer who can execute high-quality content while thinking critically about business growth. The Marketing Manager will lead initiatives that drive brand visibility, market expansion, and client acquisition - ensuring all campaigns and messaging reinforce DOTR’s premium positioning and an exceptional Pet Parent experience.

Key Responsibilities
Brand Management (Strategy and Integrated Marketing)
Plan, develop and implement comprehensive multi-channel marketing strategies, campaigns and promotions (including referral initiatives and seasonal marketing), across traditional, digital, email and social media channels.
Collaborate closely with leadership to align marketing with business goals.
Drive brand awareness, lead generation, customer acquisition/retention, and conversion pathways for greater market share.
Ensure all campaigns, promotions, and messaging consistently reflect the DOTR brand voice, positioning, and values.
Help to elevate DOTR’s brand presence as a trusted leader in pet care.
Website Management and Optimization
Oversee and maintain the company website (Squarespace), managing content updates, SEO strategy, and user experience (UX).
Partner with internal teams for necessary updates and overall accuracy.
Ensure the site reflects DOTR branding, the concierge-level experience and converts visitors into inquiries.
Continuously optimize site performance, improve conversion rates, and support local market growth.
Social Media Strategy, Management, Planning,
and Content Creation
Manage all platform-specific strategies and channels across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google Business, Yelp, and Nextdoor.
Create and maintain a strategic content calendar aligned with business priorities and seasonal initiatives.
Manage, collaborate with and provide direction to Social Media intern(s) to execute polished, on-brand assets across all channels.
Produce high-impact content (copy, video, imagery) that drives engagement, brand affinity, and reach.
Cultivate and manage an engaged online community, ensuring timely, on-brand responses and reputation management.
Creative Management (Direction and Brand Consistency)
Manage and lead the creation and creative direction for all marketing materials and collateral (flyers, brochures, email, signage, digital promotions, etc…).
Ensuring all visuals align with DOTR luxury standards based on established brand guidelines, including cohesive brand voice, messaging, visual identity and aesthetic.
Work closely with Community and Support to create visuals, promotional materials, emails and social media content for all events.
Collaborate with designers, freelancers, and vendors to produce polished, on-brand assets across all channels.
Project Management
(Cross-Functional Department Collaboration)
Manage marketing project timelines, priorities, and budgets with a high level of organization and accountability.
Collaborate closely with and coordinate marketing needs across departments and with internal teams including Community (Partnerships/Events) and Support (Pet Care Professionals) to ensure alignment and seamless execution.
Coordinate with external agencies, contractors, and vendors as needed to support future marketing initiatives.
Performance Measurement, Analysis and Reporting
Track, measure, analyze, and report on the effectiveness of marketing initiatives using key performance indicators (KPIs) such as website traffic, conversion rates, engagement, and campaign ROI for all campaigns and promotions.
Use data and insights to refine strategies, optimize performance, and provide ideas for improvement to help guide future investments.
Market and Competitive Research
Monitor consumer trends, industry developments, and competitor activity.
Identify emerging opportunities, risks, and insights to inform strategy, campaigns, and positioning.
Paid Media Strategy & Execution (future)
Plan, manage, and optimize paid advertising campaigns (including PPC, paid social, and search) to drive targeted traffic and measurable results.
Evaluate performance and make data-informed recommendations for scaling or reallocating spend.

Digital and Social Media Expertise
Hands-on experience managing social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and local review platforms.
Skilled in developing content strategies, calendars, and high-impact content (copy, video, imagery).
Strong understanding of what drives engagement, reach, and community growth.
Website, SEO and Conversion Mindset
Experience overseeing websites with a focus on SEO, UX, and conversion optimization.
Data-informed approach to improving performance and supporting lead generation, acquisition and retention.
Data-Driven Decision Maker
Comfortable tracking, analyzing, and interpreting marketing performance metrics and KPIs.
Uses insights and reporting to refine strategy, improve ROI, and guide future initiatives.
Experience, Background and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in marketing, brand, or growth-focused roles (experience in multi-location, service-based, or lifestyle brands is a plus, pet industry experience is helpful, but not required).
Proven ability to strategically manage and grow brand presence while driving measurable business results.
Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives, timelines, and priorities simultaneously.
Proven branding and creative skillset (Canva) with a keen attention to detail.
Demonstrated experience planning and executing multi-channel marketing strategies and campaigns across digital, email, social, and traditional channels.
Hands-on experience managing social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and local business/review platforms.
Proficiency with common marketing tools and platforms (ie: social media management tools, analytics platforms, email marketing tools, CMS).
Experience managing website strategy and execution (Squarespace), overseeing website content, SEO, and UX with a focus on conversion optimization.
Strong understanding of performance marketing metrics and analytics, including website traffic, engagement, conversion rates, and ROI.
Experience planning, managing, or supporting paid advertising campaigns (paid social, search, PPC).
Experience collaborating cross-functionally and working with external agencies, vendors, or contractors.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving, multi-market environment.
